Las Catalinas, a Beach Front Town
Oceanfront vacation rentals and luxury homes
I’ve know this property since 2003 and at one point did have it in escrow. Now under the ownership of Charles Brewer and his investors have watched this vision start with a few homes, and then a restaurant and activity center to now a lively beachfront town with levels of homes, condos and a hotel under construction.
Their high season saw their occupancy in their vacation rentals skyrocket over 62% from last year’s record number.
Real estate sales continue to be strong and with the addition of the Beach Club along with new houses on Calle la Ronda and Paseo Punta Penca.
New projects for 2016 that are currently being completed are the Plaza Central, that will house flats on the top two floors and commercial space in the main floor and basement level. Expectations are for a grocery store, a clothing shop, an interior design store, a day spa, and the Las Catalinas offices.
Construction is underway on 15 flats in two buildings that will complete Plaza Lucia and largely complete Plaza Carlota, two more important public spaces within Beach Town. These flats are scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2017.
The next phase will be Beach Town North, featuring beachside restaurants and retail market plaza, and 25 residences. Planning is complete, and infrastructure work will begin as soon.
The final houses on Calle la Ronda are underway. Soon this part of town will be complete.
Casa Chameleon at Las Catalinas will be the first hotel at Las Catalinas, located on top of Punta Penca, and targeted to open by the end of this year.
The Prado is the next major phase after Beach Town North. It will feature a major park, two tennis courts, a neighborhood pool and a variety of residences.
